It is with great sadness that we report the death of Schavaria Reeves, a sound mixer who was well-known and loved by many in the industry. Schavaria was known for his positive attitude and his ability to light up any room he entered, Gotham included. According to a official tweet he passed away on 24th September 2022.

Who Is Schavaria Reeves?
Schavaria Reeves was a sound mixer who was well-known for his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and Oblivion (2013). Over the years, Schavaria worked on many notable shows, which include Quantico, The Affair, Vinyl, Ray Donovan, and Law & Order: SVU. As a sound mixer, Schavaria was very in demand. Many sources have recently claimed that he has passed away, but there has been no confirmation from his family or friends.

A tweet by Gotham Sound announced the passing of Schavaria Reeves lately in last weekend of September this year.
“It saddens us to report that sound mixer Schavaria Reeves passed away this past weekend. For a sound guy, Schavaria had an uncanny way of lighting up every room he entered, including Gotham’s. We will miss him deeply.“

New Amsterdam airs title card tribute:
Following tonight’s emotional New Amsterdam episode titled “Heal Thyself,” there was a title card dedication. These tributes are extremely important for families and loved ones — they are featured after every subsequent re-airing of an episode in which someone has died. Given Reeves lengthy resume in the industry, it would make sense that he worked on the NBC medical drama at some point during its two seasons.
He cause of death is suppose to be his medical condition as he was suffering from prostate cancer. He was under medical supervision and undergoing chemotherapies at the time of his death.

It is clear that Schavaria Reeves was an excellent sound mixer and he will be missed by many. His work has touched the lives of many people and will continue to do so even after his death.
