A popular American Musician Chuck Deardorf died on October 9th, 2022. He is primarily recognized for his bass guitar and playing double bass. He was formerly serving as the Cornish College of the Arts’ jazz department head also. He died in the age of 68. It is difficult for the music industry to bear his loss.

Who is Chuck Deardorf?
For more than 20 years, Chuck Deardorf has made a significant contribution to the jazz scene in the Northwest jazz. As a first call bassist in Seattle for the past 25 years, he has been selected to perform with a long list of legendary musicians, including Chet Baker.
Deardorf, a pillar of the Seattle music scene, collaborated with many nationally touring musicians. He was well known for both his excellent performances and recordings as well as his dry sense of humour.
He began playing the bass at age of 15 and was a trombone player in the fifth grade. He graduated from Evergreen State and then worked in local jazz clubs.
Chuck Deardorf was known an jazz bassist and educator. In 1978, he began teaching at Western Washington University, and the following year he started teaching at Cornish College of the Arts, where he served as jazz program administrator from 1986 to 2000. Deardorf also taught at the Centrum Jazz Workshop in Port Townsend. In 2021, he retired from teaching after more than forty years in the classroom.
Deardorf was highly respected as an educator and had a profound impact on the lives of his students.
Tim Carey, who now coordinates Seattle’s Jazz Night School, said of Deardorf: “As a teacher, he was coming from the place of what a bass player really does when you’re playing in the real world with high-level musicians. Chuck set the gold standard.” Deardorf’s legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those he inspired.
How did Chuck Deardorf died? Cause of death explained
Deardorf had affected with covid 19 in august so he was admitted in Virginia Mason Medical Center for the treatment. Already he had less immunity power due to the kidney transplantation which was done on 2011. Even there was best treatment provided , his former kidney problem made him vulnerable to the virus attack and died on 9th October 2022.

Chuck was a great musician, his timing was wonderful, and his tone was marvelous. He had a major role in the “golden age” of live jazz. It takes a long time for such a person to be born again.
With his death the man who drowned the fans in to a sea of sadness.
