Who was Miodrag Ješić?
Miodrag Ješić was a Serbian football player and manager. He was born on November 30, 1958, in Osečenica. Ješić played for FC Partizan between 1974 and 1985 where he played 342 matches scoring 81 goals.
From 1985 to 1989, Ješić played for Altay SK where he scored 29 goals in 136 matches. He then finished his career as a player with Trabzonspor with 9 goals in 37 matches from in the 1989-90 season.
In 1993, Ješić started his coaching career at FK Obilić and helped the team reach a Yugoslav Cup final. He went on to manage a number of other Serbian teams including OFK Beograd and his native Partizan. Most recently, he coached the Saudi First Division League team Al Shoulla.
Miodrag Ješić Dies in a Car Accident: How did it Happen?
Miodrag Ješić died in a car accident on Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Ruma, Serbia. He was traveling alone in his car when he collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction in an uninhabited part of the village of Jarak.
After the collision, Ješić’s car was completely demolished while a major portion of the truck was squeezed inward due to the huge impact. Long lines of vehicles were formed on the site of the accident as and the police had to divert the traffic.
Ješić’s body was sent for autopsy and the results are awaited at this time. The former footballer was 64 years old at the time of his untimely death.

The police are currently investigating the cause of the crash that killed Miodrag Ješić. The driver, who was also slightly injured in the crash, was being interrogated and tested on the suspicion of driving under an influence.
According to a report, the driver revealed that the car came in front of the truck at the moment that the collision couldn’t be avoided and it was moving in a zig-zag pattern. Further investigation into the case is going on.
