“The world turned a little hazier earlier today at 9.9.30 am the point at which my cherished spouse, Mel Dee Dzelde, died calmly in her rest. Her euphoria and unimaginably thoughtful soul will, nonetheless, live on in all who were moved by her especially strong, superb sorcery,” Chris wrote.

Mel and Chris met when she was working at Mix 102.3 and later got married. Chris himself is a media personality. The two have been married for over 10 years. We can only imagine how sad Chris would be right now.

Mel Dee Dzelde died after having multiple health conditions including cancer and ALS. She was getting treatment for several rounds of growth and motor neuron illness. She had been diagnosed with stage 4 rectal disease a long time back.
Dzelde was getting treated with chemo and radiation but she never took a long time off work. Her voice could be heard regularly on air. She also went through Rectal resection medical procedure.
Last month, Oprah Winfrey pledged $15,000 for Mel Dee Dzelde on the Ali Clarke Breakfast Show.
After a lengthy and brave battle against a number of health issues, Mel Dzelde passed away earlier today. She had entered hospice care earlier this month.
