Before the family moved to Louisiana in 2014, Mandy was known to racegoers at Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, and Del Mar. This was because her aunt Rose Ann Delahoussaye served as her primary babysitter and Second Mother.
Mandy’s father, Eddie D. was inducted into the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame in 1993. He is also a member of the board of directors for both the Edwin J. Gregson Foundation and the Louisiana Racing Commission.

The funeral arrangements for Mandy Delahoussaye are set in Martin & Castille’s La Fleur di Lis Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 2 PM CT. The visitation will take place at 1 PM CT at the Lafayette funeral home’s Southside location of the company.
Deacon Cody Miller will officiate the memorial. A private interment will also take place later in New Iberia’s Holy Family Cemetery and Mausoleum. The family is urging to send memorial contributions to St. Jude, the Shriners’ Hospital in honor of Mandy Delahoussaye.
The contributions can also be sent to the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans instead of flowers or other supportive ornaments.
