Moreno Valley Car Crash: Daniel Jacks Jr. and Hannah Jacks Dead

A scary car accident took place around 9 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2022, near Gilman Springs Road and Bridge Street in Moreno Valley. The violent collision, allegedly caused by a drunk driver as per California Highway Patrol, claimed the lives of two people.

The deceased involved included a 45-year-old Riverside County corrections deputy Daniel Jacks Jr. and his 20-year-old daughter Hannah Jacks. Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene after the violent collision.

The other driver involved also sustained injuries in the crash. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later arrested on a number of charges.

Who was Daniel Jacks Jr. and Hannah Jacks?

Daniel Jacks Jr., 45, was a correctional deputy for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. He was most recently deployed at the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio. He had been with the department since 2008.

Recently, Jacks Jr. was promoted to corporal. Unfortunately, he has been identified as one of the people killed in the Moreno Valley crash.

Hannah Jacks, 20, was the daughter of Riverside County deputy Daniel Jacks Jr. She was the front-seat passenger at the time of the crash alongside his father. Unfortunately, the young girl died a tragic death.

Daniel Jacks Jr. & Hannah Jacks Car Accident: How did it happen?

The freak car accident that killed Riverside County deputy Daniel Jacks Jr. and his daughter Hannah Jacks happened due to the other driver (suspect) driving under the influence of alcohol. He has been identified as Scott Bales of Moreno Valley.

As per the reports, Bales was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck westbound on Gilman Springs Road when he crossed over the middle of the divided highway and headed into oncoming traffic.

He then crashed head-on into a Honda Insight that was traveling eastbound. It was driven by Daniel Jacks Jr. and Hannah was with him in the front passenger seat. A viral clip of the crash shows the mangled truck and car at the scene.

Both Daniel and Hannah Jacks were pronounced dead at the scene of the car accident.

Who is Scott Bales?

Scott Bales is the alleged suspect in the Moreno Valley car accident that killed Daniel Jacks Jr. and Hannah Jacks. The 47-year-old man hails from Moreno Valley. He sustained minor injuries in the crash while driving his Chevrolet Silverado.

According to the police, Bales was driving under the influence of alcohol and it is being defined as the cause of the crash. He has been arrested for two counts of homicide, and for driving under the influence and causing injury to a passenger in his own vehicle.
