Terra’s sister, Stephanie Wright, has confirmed that her sis and niece passed away in the freak car crash that took place in Quincy on Saturday. The family is mourning the loss of the lovely mother and cute daughter.
Terra Durbin and Karman Die in Car Accident: Details of the Crash
Terra Durbin and her daughter Karman were traveling in their car with two other children on Saturday, October 1, 2022, when they got involved in a multi-vehicle accident on 168th Avenue at Quincy Street.
The police and the EMS were summoned to the scene shortly later. Upon arrival, they declared both Terra Durbin and Karman Durbin dead from the injuries they sustained during the crash. Their bodies have been sent for autopsy.
Police are investigating the case; No charges filed yet
The City of Quincy Police Department is investigating the accident and its cause. The freak crash killed a mother, and her daughter, and left two other juveniles, Dairyen and Paetyn severely injured.
Dairyen has a number of broken bones while Paetyn has spinal injuries. Both of them are currently admitted to the hospital and will need surgeries.
The police have guarded the area of the crash and will be trying to figure out what happened. More information will be released soon. No charges have been filed yet.
Who were Terra Durbin and Karman Durbin?
Terra Durbin was an Illinois native and mother who lived with her family in a Peoria residence. She was a dedicated longtime member of The Burlington Neurology and Sleep Clinic. She was also a former Team Lead with The Kehoe Eye Care in Galesburg and a medical assistant at Illinois Regional Pain Institute.
Karman Durbin was Terra Durbin’s daughter. She was just 8 years old at the time of her untimely and terrible death. The sweet little kid was traveling with her mother in the car when she passed away in a freak car crash.

Terra Durbin’s sister, Stephanie Wright, who announced the passing of the mother and her daughter Karman, is mourning the loss of her family members.
“Sad day yesterday with the tragic loss of Daniels’ cousin Terra Durbin and her Daughter my thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Yeagle family especially her other 2 children and her Mother Mary Jo Yeagle Eads, sister Kendra Deemie and her brothers Matt and Joe,” she wrote.
“Words can express how sorry I am for your loss. She was an amazing person, mother, and friend.”
