According to VK Bhawra, the chief of police in Punjab, at least 30 shots were fired by gunmen. He said that the bullets were from at least three weapons and attributed the incident to a rivalry between Moose Wala’s manager, and a Canadian organized crime organization.

The rapper’s actual name is Shubhdeep Singh. He was struck by eight rounds. According to the newspaper, one of the others in the car at the time of his attack died from his injuries.

Moose Wala charted on numerous occasions in Canada and the UK. He spent most of his career there and gained immense popularity among the Sikh diaspora. Moose Wala often collaborated with British artists Stefflon Don, MIST and Steel Banglez.
Moose Wala, who had recently received 36,000 votes in Indian state election in February (coming second in that race), was now beginning to explore Bollywood cinema and confirming his status among the country’s most prominent entertainers.
The killing of his father sparked a war between Indian political parties, which blamed the ruling party from Punjab for allowing it to happen.
“Today, Sidhu Moose Wala, a young Punjabi singer was shot to death in a state-sponsored homicide. A spokesperson for India’s ruling BJP party claimed that the AAP government was responsible.

The state government of Punjab announced on Saturday that it had reduced its protection for some famous people in order to redirect its security forces elsewhere. Later, the names of those who lost their security details were leaked to the media. Critics claimed that this made them more vulnerable to attacks.
Moose Wala was one of the 122 politicians whose bodyguard teams were removed or reduced this weekend. Officials from Punjab law enforcement confirmed that Moose Wala had two armed security guards, but that he had declined to travel with the police protection on Sunday.
Protests against the state government broke out at Mansa hospital, where Moosewala was taken after the shooting.
After the death of Sidhu Moosewala, Rahul Gandhi, leader of one India’s largest parties, tweeted, “Deeply shocked” and “sadened” by his murder. “My deepest condolences go out to his loved ones, and all of his fans around the globe.”
Moose Wala joined Gandhi’s Congress party December 2021. He said that he was motivated by the belief that he could make a difference within the system.
He stated that he was not joining politics to gain fame or status. “I want to be a part the system to change it. To raise the voice and opinion of the people that’s why he joined Congress.
