The story of Panchayat season one begins with the arrival of Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar. He is an engineering graduate from Delhi who has come to the village of Phulera to take up a job as the Panchayat Secretary.
However, he soon discovers that the job is not as simple as it seems. He has to deal with a mismanaged functions played by village sarpanch, played by Raghuvir Yadav, and a group of uncooperative villagers.
