Kim Jung Gi Renown Korean Artist Died at the Age of 47, His Cause of Death Explained

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Kim Jung Gi, one of the most legendary illustrators and artists of our time.

Jung Gi was known for his incredible illustrations and artworks, which often featured stunning perspectives and incredible detail. He collaborated frequently with Hyun Jin Kim, with whom he co-founded the art studio KiKiGon.

Jung Gi’s work has been exhibited around the world and has been featured in magazines, books, and other publications. He was also the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Grand Prize at the Leipzig Book Fair in 2006.

In a statement released on social media, Hyun Jin Kim said: “After doing so much for us, you can now put down your brushes. Thank you Jung Gi.”

Kim Jung GI Cause of Death Explained

Kim Jung Gi, a celebrated Korean artist and author, passed away at the age of 47. Gi died from a heart attack on 4th October, just days before he was due to attend the New York Comic Con as an exhibitor in Artist’s Alley.

Kim Jung Gi was well-known for his dynamic and detailed illustrations, and his work had been shown in galleries around the world. Prior to his death, he had been attending a gallery exhibit in Paris.

In a statement, the Daniel Maghen Gallery in Paris said: “We are speechless [after learning of Gi’s death]. His sudden disappearance contrasts with the immense happiness he brought us.”

Gi’s partner and collaborator Hyun Jin Kim also took to social media to announce the news of his death, writing: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the sudden passing of Kim Jung Gi.” Gi leaves behind a legacy of artwork that will be remembered and treasured by fans for years to come.
