It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of rapper Coolio. He was 59 years old. Coolio, real name Artist Leon Ivey Jr., was best known for his 1995 hit “Gangsta’s Paradise.” The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance.
According to TMZ, paramedics were called to a house in Los Angeles around 4 PM for a medical emergency and when they got there they pronounced Coolio dead..
Rapper Coolio Cause of Death
Rapper Coolie, whose real name is Collin Levy, was found dead in a bathroom after allegedly spending time with a friend on September 28, 2022. His manager, Jarez, said that paramedics suspect he suffered cardiac arrest although an official cause of death has not yet to be determined.
This came as a shock to many in the music industry, as Coolie was only 59 years old and had much left to contribute.

Coolie first rose to fame as the producer and manager of Gangsta’s Paradise, a popular rap group. He later released his own solo album, which achieved moderate success.
