Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the next expansion for World of Warcraft titled Dragonflight. The upcoming update will take players on a journey to the Dragon Isles. Players can sign up for the WoW: Dragonflight beta right away, find out the step-by-step procedure here.
After months of speculations and leaks, Blizzard has finally announced Dragonflight which will take place on a new landmass full of exciting elements and dragons. The upcoming expansion will focus on the draconic aspects and dragons will be available in playable and rideable forms.
A new heroic race and class will also debut in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight alongside the five new zones on the map. Players will be able to play through an incredible story full of thrills and surprises. The expansion will go live later this year, but a playable beta will be available beforehand.
What is the Release Date for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight?
Blizzard announced the next expansion for World of Warcraft- Dragonflight this Tuesday via a special live stream where they also confirmed the second expansion to World of Warcraft Classic, titled Wrath of the Lich King.
WoW: Dragonflight will be coming later in 2022. However, the developer didn’t reveal any specific release date for the expansion during its announcement. They might follow up with the WoW: Dragonflight release date soon.
Before that, WoW: Dragonflight will undergo a testing phase when the alpha and beta versions will be available for players to try. The sign-up process for the WoW: Dragonflight has already started.
How to Sign up for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Beta?
Players can sign up for the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight beta right away to start playing as soon as the game undergoes the testing phase. The procedure is very simple, however, signing up doesn’t guarantee that you’ll receive access to the beta.
You will need a Battle.net account to sign up for the WoW: Dragonflight beta. To begin with, open a web browser and visit the World of Warcraft website. You will see information about the upcoming expansion there.
Now, click on the “Beta Opt-in” button present in the center, and once again click on the same button when it takes you down the page.
After that, it’ll ask you to log in using your Battle.net account. Do the needful. If you don’t have an account, you can also create one. That’s all you have to do to sign up to play the beta now.
Blizzard has really eased up the process as you no longer have to explain how helpful you’ll be to the developer if given a chance to play the data, and you don’t even have to share the hardware profile of your computer either, as previously required.

Blizzard hasn’t revealed when the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight beta or alpha version will go live. They have only started the registration process for the beta currently. Any player interested to participate in it can sign up using the procedure shared above.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight: What to Expect?
World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will take place on a mystical continent full of dragons and other draconic elements called the Dragon Isles. It will have five new zones including four for the players and an additional new zone for the players starting out with the new race and class combo, Dracthyr Evoker.
The new zones in the Dragon Isles include The Waking Shores, Ohn’ahran Plains, The Azure Span, Thaldraszus, and The Forbidden Reach.
The upcoming expansion will also bring a new race featuring the dragon theme, Dracthyr. This humanoid is native to the continent and can choose to support either the Horde or the Alliance.
A new class called Evoker is also coming, and it will be exclusive to Dracthyr. It will use the power for the Dragonflights of Azeroth and features ranged damage dealing as well as healing abilities.
Along with this, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will feature a fresh and exciting story where the legendary dragons will be trying to reignite their lost powers and reclaim their throne as the conquerors of Azeroth.
Dragons will be available in playable and rideable forms in the upcoming expansion. World of Warcraft will also be returning to the classic talent trees for the progression system, alongside the updated flight mechanics for dragon-riding.
The new expansion will also introduce a revamped UI which will be slightly more modernized, and it will also revamp professions. With whatever details are available, the WoW: Dragonflight expansion is looking amazing. We can only hope the developer delivers big time with this update.
