Shortly after the news broke, her childhood friend, Jamie Jon Kenton confirmed the news and requested fans and the media to avoid spreading rumors and speculative reports. The statement added that Sarah’s family is currently in a state of shock and grief-stricken by the loss.

“Yesterday I lost one of my oldest friends. I met Sarah somewhere around 4th or 5th grade. Even when we didn’t talk regularly it was like no time had passed when we did. She was such an amazing person, Rockstar, Real Estate agent, and friend to so many! It makes me smile to think back on all the crazy stories I could tell growing up with Sarah. Thoughts and prayers to all Sarah’s friends and family who are hurting right now!”
