Ryan Plowman was a stellar young student and a star soccer player from Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights, which is a city in Cook County, Illinois, in the United States. Ryan was being trained by Zeno Toscas, who was the soccer coach at his high school, and in a recent tournament, Ryan played a major role in helping his school team win a regional championship.

According to the doctors at Comer Children’s Hospital, Ryan succumbed to mononucleosis sickness due to an underlying condition and a medication that inhibited the fighting ability of his body.

Ryan’s mother, Jennifer Plowman, said, “Ryan also had Crohn’s Disease, and the doctors are suspecting that the medication for Crohn’s Disease suppressed his immune system and lowered his body’s ability to fight.”
