Who is R. Bonney Gabriel?
R’Bonney Nola Gabriel, popularly known as R. Bonney Gabriel, is a Houston-based Filipino-American who is a professional model and fashion designer. She runs her own label, R’Bonney Nola, which is really popular for its eco-friendly dresses.
Gabriel was born on March 20, 1994 in Houston, Texas, to Remigio Bonzon “R. Bon” Gabriel, a Filipino father, and Dana Walker, an American mother. Her father was born in the Philippines and immigrated from Manila to Washington at 25 years of age. He got his doctorate degree in psychology from the University of Southern California. Her mother is from Beaumont.

By becoming Miss Texas USA 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel earned the right to represent Texas, at Miss USA 2022. At Miss USA 2022, Gabriel bagged the Best State Costume award and advanced to all rounds, including the swimsuit and evening gown portions, which helped her to enter the Top 5 participants.
At the end of the 71st Miss USA pageant competition, R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss Texas, was crowned Miss USA 2022 by the outgoing titleholder, Elle Smith of Kentucky. She graciously passed down the Miss USA crown to Miss Texas USA 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel, at the event held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno on Monday, October 3, 2022. By winning the title, Gabriel became the first Miss USA of Filipino descent and also the first ever an Asian American woman to win the Miss USA title.
