Jameion Peterson, a fourteen-year-old boy, has been charged as an adult for murdering his 10-year-old stepsister, Na’Mylah Turner-Moore, after her body was found, mere hours after the Saginaw girl was reported missing on August 30th.
The teenager was charged with open murder for allegedly murdering his own stepsister during an arraignment hearing in Saginaw County US District Court on Wednesday, August 31. According to the prosecutor’s office, the teenager could face life imprisonment if found guilty under these charges. Who is Jameion Peterson?
Jameion Peterson is a 14-year-old boy from Michigan who has been charged as an adult for the alleged murder of his own 10-year-old stepsister, Na’Mylah Turner Moore. Peterson was arraigned in Saginaw County Court on Wednesday, August 31, on charges of first and second-degree murder.

Jameion’s arrest was announced earlier on Wednesday by the State Police of Michigan, who said that they had taken a young male into custody, who was later identified as Na’Mylah’s stepbrother.

Na’Mylah Turner Moore, was a 10-year-old girl from Saginaw. She was a brilliant student who studied at Stone Elementary School. During her childhood, she faced a lot of trauma, but she never let all that affect her studies.
Na’Mylah lived with her mother because her father started living with his new wife after his second marriage. Sometimes, Na’Mylah used to go to his father’s house to meet him.

Na’Mylah J Turner-Moore, the 10-year-old girl, went missing from a house reportedly owned by Peterson’s father on August 30 at around 6:15 AM.
After checking about her from her biological father, Peterson’s father called 911 to complain about the disappearance of their daughter, Na’Mylah. Immediately after that, the police started their search for the little girl. But a few hours after the search, they found her dead in an abandoned lot near the home.
Saginaw Police Chief Robert M. Ruth told reporters, “This is a very sad situation. Anytime a 10-year-old is murdered by another family member, it’s just terrible.”
Did Jameion kill his 10-year-old stepsister ?
The post-mortem reports of Na’Mylah disclosed that someone had killed the 10-year-old, but no marks of sex assault or weapon usage were observed.
After an enquiry from family members, police started to collect evidence from the spot of her death, where they got to know that she was killed by her 14-year-old step brother. The reason for Na’Mylah’s death is still under autopsy. But her stepbrother has been arrested on adult charges.
Jameion,who is set to appear for a preliminary examination on September 21 will be given life imprisonment as an adult under Michigan state law, if he is convicted for the murder of his 10-year-old stepsister.

Na’Mylah’s mother cried a lot after seeing the dead body of her beloved daughter. She said she wants her daughter‘s killer to be given the punishment of being hanged.
In memory of the teen girl, Na’Mylah, one of her uncles founded a company named “GoFundMe.” The main objective of this company is to pay the cost of the girl’s funeral to her family. Na’Mylah’s friends also donated to this company and wrote a note in their charity box. The note reads “From your friends at school.”
