Shelly Haus Died

The beauty industry is mourning the loss of one of its own. Shelley Haus, chief marketing officer at Ulta Beauty, died Monday after a battle with cancer. She was just 49 years old.

Haus joined Ulta in 2014 as vice president of marketing and was promoted to CMO in just three years. Under her leadership, Ulta became one of the fastest-growing retailers in the country.

Her passing is a huge loss for the company, which released a statement expressing their sorrow at her death.

“Shelley was an incredible leader and a true trailblazer in our industry,” said Mary Dillon, CEO of Ulta Beauty.

She was passionate about her work, fiercely competitive and had an unrelenting drive to win. Perhaps most importantly, she was kind and caring, always putting others first. Shelley was a dear friend and colleague to so many of us, and she will be deeply missed.”

Haus is survived by her husband and two children. Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
