Sara Lee Dies At The Age of 30, Her Cause of Death Explained

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the death of Sara Lee. Lee was a winner of WWE’s reality series Tough Enough and a professional wrestler. She was only 30 years old.

No cause of death has been yet revealed by her family we will update the information as soon as their family responses, but we do know that Lee had recently battled a sinus infection. She seemed to be on the mend, however and had even posted photos of herself working out just days ago.

Lee’s mother confirmed the news of her daughter’s death on social media, writing, “It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus. We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn.”

Lee’s career in the WWE was short-lived, but she did make an impact. After winning Tough Enough in 2015, she was signed to a one-year contract with the company. However, she was released from her contract in September 2016. Since then, she had continued to wrestle on the independent circuit.

When news broke that 2016 Tough Enough winner Sara Lee had tragically died at the age of 30, the wrestling community was quick to mobilize. Fellow wrestler Bull James organized a GoFundMe to support Lee’s husband Cory and their three children.

WWE superstars including Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Natalya Neidhart donated to the cause, and within 24 hours the campaign had raised over $50,000.

As James stated in his post, “Every penny raised from this will go directly to Cory and the kids.” The overwhelming response is a testament to the tight-knit community of wrestlers, who are always quick to support one another in times of need. Our thoughts are with the Lee family during this difficult time.
