Misrach Ewunetie, 20, was a Princeton University student who had been on track to graduate in 2024. She was a valedictorian at Villa Angela St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio. The bright student was always involved in academics as well as co-curricular activities.
Ewunetie was a junior pursuing a degree in sociology with a computer applications certificate. She was offered a full scholarship from Princeton after completing her tenure with the Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School.

Misrach Ewunetie was found dead on the campus of Princeton University this Thursday. It’s unknown if she passed away on the same day her body was found or if she had been lying dead there for a few days after going missing.
Ewunetie’s body was found after a multi-day search probe by law enforcement officials and people from the University.
“Ms. Ewunetie’s body was found outside on the Facilities grounds behind the tennis courts at approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday by a Facilities employee,” said the Mercer County Prosecutor’s office in a statement.
“An autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine Ms. Ewunetie’s cause and manner of death,” the statement added. “However, there were no obvious signs of injury and her death does not appear suspicious or criminal in nature.”

Misrach Ewunetie went missing roughly last week
Misrach Ewunetie, 20, went missing around a week ago. She was last seen on Friday, October 14, 2022. A suitemate revealed that she saw Ewunetie brushing her teeth at about 3 AM Friday morning and she wasn’t in the suite after an hour and a half later.
Ewunetie’s phone location was traced to an off-campus residence, about a 30-minute walk from her dorm. This left her brother and others puzzled. “Princeton’s a big campus, and it’s very insular, so it’s very odd that her phone would be off-campus,” Ewunetie’s brother said.
The police were called and Princeton University announced its search efforts on Monday stating that Misrach Ewunetie is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, has brown eyes, black hair, and a light brown complexion.
