When people say things can change in an instant it’s true. Lives are changed forever today. But I know that there is love and pride and comfort for us. My husband Paul spent his career and life helping others. For all our changes I know he changed other people and kid’s lives daily for the better and never wanted anything in return. That’s what teachers and coaches do. His pride, love and sacrifices for our kids and helping them reach their dreams his been an inspiring gift I’m so great full to have witnessed. Forever in my ❤️ Paul Funk

We all use the words ”life is short.” But it takes a tragic event to really put the meaning behind that phrase into perspective. Paul woke up yesterday morning like any other day. Spoke to his wife about when he’d be home, etc. Then his life just stopped. Out of no where. His wife and kids lost their husband and Dad. Dennis Yarmouth lost a principal, coach, mentor and friend. At 51 years old. My aunt passed the same way- 52 years old suddenly of a heart attack. I remember the feeling of complete disbelief, confusion and not able to wrap my head around what had just happened. My heart hurts for the Funk family- knowing the shock of someone disappearing without notice. To my DY family… God Damn It.
