Who was Patrick Blanchard?
In 2017, Patrick joined the Minot Police Department and quickly rose to the rank of Master Police Officer. During his time on the force, he became known as both a dedicated and compassionate officer who always had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone in need. He was deeply involved in his community and loved spending time with his family and friends.
How did Patrick Blanchard die? What was the cause Patrick death?
Patrick was discovered dead following an apparent self-inflicted wound while off-duty. The cause of his death is still under investigation. The police are continuing to investigate this tragedy in order to get answers for Patrick’s loved ones regarding his sudden death; however, they have yet to release any further details at this time.
What happened to Patrick Blanchard?
On December 28, 2022, the Minot Police Department sought help from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office in locating an off-duty police officer so that they could check on his welfare. Patrick Blanchard was discovered shortly after: at 11:30 p.m., deputies located the 37-year-old Master Officer in his car near Towner, North Dakota. Sadly, he was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted wound – a tragedy which is now being investigated by those closest to him. While the cause of death has yet to be determined, answers are being sought and police have made it clear they will release pertinent details when they become available. During this difficult time, Patrick’s family and friends find comfort knowing that all aspects of his passing are being thoroughly examined to provide them closure.
