Who Was Nakia Merrill?
Nakia Merrill was a beloved member of the Omicron Sigma Chapter, where he had recently completed the initiation process through the Omicron Nu Chapter. Those close to him describe him as larger than life, full of joy and love, and incredibly competitive when it came to sports and activities.
Nakia also worked at Dallas College, where he served as Senior Manager of Visual Media Support Services at the Cedar Valley Campus. His colleagues remember him fondly for his enthusiasm, humor and hard work ethic.

On Friday night, Nakia Merrill of Dallas, Texas, passed away in a motor vehicle accident. Known to family and friends as “Boog”, Nakia was considered larger than life by the people who knew him.
