Motorcyclist 64 Critically Injured in Victoria Collision

On Friday evening, a 64-year-old man on a Kymco motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Toyota Starlet driven by a 46-year-old man. The accident happened at 6:30 pm at Triq Għajn Quartet in Victoria, Gozo.

The victim was seriously injured and taken to hospital via ambulance. Duty Magistrate Bridgette Sultana is leading an inquiry and police investigations are ongoing. This is yet another example of the dangers of motorcycle riding.

Although wearing a helmet does not guarantee safety, it is always advisable to wear one when operating a motorcycle. Drivers of motor vehicles must remain vigilant at all times for motorcycles on the road, as they can be difficult to see. Please drive responsibly and do not put others at risk.
