Metro Boomin is one of the most successful producers in the music industry, and his mother’s death will no doubt be a devastating blow. Multiple outlets reported the news on Sunday, but TMZ confirmed it. It revealed that Metro’s mother, Leslie Wayne was found dead by authorities in an area in Atlanta. Metro’s father was not involved in Wayne’s death. Wayne was then reportedly murdered by her husband.
Wayne, along with his three brothers, raised Metro and was a firm believer in his music. The super-producer called his mother his “biggest inspiration” on her birthday in 2019. He drove her son eight hours from St. Louis, Georgia to help him reach his musical goals.
Metro stepped up to support YSL after the RICO charges which saw 28 people, including Young Thug, indicted in a 56-count case. Metro denied that the label was a band and voiced frustration at lyrics and his music can be used for criminal evidence.
