On January 28th, 2021, Lonzo Ball had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. The initial prognosis was that he would miss six to eight weeks, but it was later revealed that he also suffered a bone bruise. As a result, the Chicago Bulls and Ball agreed to shut him down for the rest of the season.
