This summer, Korn and Evanescence will go on an 18-city tour across the United States.
Korn as well as Evanescence are announcing that they’ll hit the road in summer for a co-headline tour of the US.
Both bands teased the announcement on the 4th of April on their respective social media pages by sharing the same, cryptic and illustrative video from Nate Hill.
Following the success of Korn’s current Spring tour, the nu-metal legends will embark on an 18-city tour with Evanescence, featuring yet-to-be-announced special guests.
Beginning on the 16th of August in the Ball Arena in Denver, CO The two iconic rockers will play throughout the US in Boston, Chicago, Houston, and more before ending their tour in Ridgefield, WA on September 16.
When the last occasion Korn and Evanescence joined forces on a tour was in 2007 on Korn’s Family Values Tour.
“We’re excited to go out on tour in the summer, and inviting our bandmates, Evanescence, out,” says Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. “Whenever Amy comes to one of our shows, I am awestruck to see her sitting at the back of the stage looking at the whole show and singing along. We’re sure to enjoy a fantastic time during this tour and we’re excited to see you at the show.”
Evanescence singer Amy Lee adds, “I was a huge fan of Korn’s songs in my high school years. It was a great source of inspiration for the development of my own group. The opportunities we’ve had to perform together throughout the years are memorable, a part of our tradition.
“They remain among the most live bands I’ve ever witnessed. It’s an honor and a joy to be a part of their live show.
to be out with our friends once again for our first tour since the end of ’07. We’re all eager for this.”
