Keontay Mac was an American man hailing from the North Highlands area. He was shot dead by an unidentified man in the 5500 block of Sky Parkway Wednesday morning. The family has identified the victim as Keontay Mac from North Highlands.
Keontay Mac was a long-time partner of Camisha Wallace. The two also had a daughter whose name has been kept private due to security concerns. The tragic news of his death was shared by a neighbor to the family.
“I was at work and I got a text saying, ‘Did you hear what happened to your baby’s father?’ and I said, ‘no,’ and she said, ‘I’m sorry to give you the news but somebody shot him.’ I’m hysterical. I’m angry. I’m mad. I’m sad,” revealed Wallace.
Sky Parkway Shooting on Wednesday, Oct. 12th: What happened?
The Sacramento County Sherriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at around 4 AM in the 5500 block of Sky Parkway, Sacramento.
Deputies stated that a fight broke out between two men early morning. The situation then worsened and a man was shot dead. The people living in the area revealed that things got dangerous around the given time.
“It’s really rough out here. It’s really dangerous. It’s always a lot of things going on,” said Carlos Saldana, a friend of the victim.
Why was Keontay Mac shot dead?
Keontay Mac was reportedly shot dead after a fight with the culprit in the Sky Parkway area. The exact reason and circumstances leading to the situation that resulted in Keontay Mac’s murder are unknown at the time of writing.
It’s unknown if Mac was shot due to past personal grudges. The Sacramento County Sherriff’s Office is investigating the case. However, the culprit is yet to be caught. Once the police are able to catch the shooter, charges will be filed against him.

Family and Friends Mourning the Loss of Keontay Mac
Keontay Mac’s family and friends are mourning the loss of the man who was shot and killed near the Sky Parkway area. The North Highlands man was a loving husband and a father of a young daughter.
Wallace, Mac’s partner, revealed that she has yet to break the tragic news to the young girl.
“She loves her father. When he walks into the room she’s like, ‘Daddy! Daddy!’ It just not going to be the same anymore,” she said.
His funeral arrangements are pending at this moment. An autopsy will be performed and results will be awaited to continue the investigation.
