Who was Kayla Penoli?
Kayla Penoli’s success did not come easy. She worked hard to make it in the beauty industry from an early age. Growing up in Santa Rosa put her close to some of the biggest names in beauty such as Sephora and MAC Cosmetics. This allowed her to learn from some of the best professionals in the industry and develop her skills as a makeup artist.
In addition to working at local salons, she also worked with major companies like Urban Decay and Sephora on projects related to product development and marketing campaigns.
Penoli’s career began to take off when she was chosen as one of 12 contestants on MTV’s hit show “Double Shot at Love” back in 2019. Appearing on the show gave her a platform to showcase her talents as both an artist and entrepreneur while inspiring viewers with her story. She quickly became a fan favorite due to her outgoing personality and willingness to take risks during competition challenges. Off-camera, she used this newfound fame to launch Kosmetics by Kayla in 2020—a cosmetic line specializing in luxurious beauty treatments such as facials, lip blushing, tooth gems, lip products and false eyelashes. The brand quickly gained traction online through social media influencers who helped popularize Kosmetics by Kayla among beauty enthusiasts around the world.
