Dr John Hermann, a well-known veterinarian in the Metro Detroit area died in a car accident in Van Buren Township on Monday 5th December.

Who was Dr John Herman?

Veterinarian Dr John Herman is well-known in the Detroit metropolitan area. In 1993, Dr John Herman received a DVM from Michigan State University. He is a hybrid animal practitioner who owns a low-cost immunization/spa clinic and aims to exceed client expectations by providing high-quality and affordable animal health services.

Dr Herman has worked with several family farms and individual homes along with the Romulus Animal Shelter, Downstream Central Animal Control, Monroe County Animal Control, Woodhaven, and Trenton Animal Shelters.

John Herman’s Car accident ?

Dr John Hermann, D.V.M., of The Veterinary Clinic, passed away on December 5th in a car collision. Dr John Hermann of the Mobile Veterinary Clinic announced his passing on social media.

Mobile Vet clinic posted and gave information about it. They wrote in the post, “With heavy hearts, we have to inform all of Dr Herman’s clients that Dr Hermann passed away yesterday due to a car accident. PLEASE give us time to figure everything out. Keep an eye on our website and Facebook for more information.

We are also trying to process this ourselves, so please have patience with us during this difficult time. We will update everyone as soon as we can.”

According to reports from Van Buren Police, Hermann was driving south on Rawsonville, not far from the Huron River, when he crossed the centre line and collided head-on with another vehicle.

It’s unclear why he went over the limit. Hermann, 53, of Inkster died, while a 35-year-old male from Sumpter Township suffered only minor wounds. The mishap also injured a man from Ypsilanti, age 47. He didn’t suffer any injury. The family is currently waiting for more information in this regard. The official accident report has not yet been made public.

He will be terribly missed, not only for his family, colleagues and friends, but also by the community who gladly stood in line with their pets, so many pets that wouldn’t have been vaccinated without his low cost, love and concern for animals. 🐾💔

  3. We have seen him for many years. Never did he or his staff not return a phone call. You always knew if you could not get into your regular vet for days you could find Dr Herman in the area somewhere. He gave life to many of our pets throughout the years and for many gently relieved their suffering at a moments notice. He will be greatly missed. I loved Dr Herman.He worked all day, every day.I was kidding with him and he said”do yo think all i do is work” I picked up his calandar and pointed to all the filled in days and said, is this your calendar and laughed. HE SAID” YEAH BUT LOOK, I HAVE A DAY OFF AT THE END.He had a great sense of humor and loved all the fur babys.Cant believe he’s gone.RIP. YOUR SPECIAL

  5. My heart is still saddened for Dr Herman I would take my animals to him when I was out at the farm he will be sincerely missed very nice person friendly it’s still hard to believe that he’s gone

  7. I’m devastated ! He was a kind n compassionate person whom my baby Coco saw regularly for medical issues ! The staff worked quick n efficiently ! They were very organized . Teamwork !!!! Everybody was friendly n helpful ! Prayers to all staff 🙏. May Dr. Hermann R.I.P. He will be missed dearly by many n is irreplaceable !!

  8. He took care of our 3 dogs for years, one dog from 8 weeks. He will be missed, because of his caring nature, caring more about animals than money, and cared that we knew how to care for our animals when he wasn’t there. Not sure how you could replace him. Gods speed,,,, mjp
