However, Caan’s family didn’t reveal the exact cause of his death. The late actor got married four times throughout his life and he’s survived by five children.

James Caan was born on March 26, 1940, in The Bronx, New York City, to Jewish immigrant parents from Germany. He was brought up in New York alongside his two siblings. He attended Hofstra University and started taking interest in acting From there
New York City’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre then accepted his application and he studied acting there for five years. He started his career acting in plays and Television shows in the 1960s.
His film debut happened with 1963’s Irma la Douce where he played a sailor. Caan got his first starring role in 1965’s Red Line 7000. His popularity actually shot to fame when he got the role of Sonny Corleone in The Godfather. He even got nominated for the Academy Awards next year for his role.
