His post also expressed reverence for Maya, who made every day brighter and even helped bring him closer to his wife Marzia. While it’s natural to feel grief when faced with a loss like this, Pewdiepie’s emotionally charged tribute certainly reflects the deep love he had for Maya over the years — nearly 17 of them. As many have noticed, Maya is missing her left eye due to an unfortunate cat encounter she had when she was young in Vietnam. In his vlogs referred to as “Fridays with PewDiePie,” PewDiePie speaks to Maya in a high voice, further revealing their close bond. At 17 years old and with a classic dark brown face and light gold coat, Maya also appears to have aged gracefully by becoming mostly deaf and blind over the years — however, on a brighter note, she recently composed her first song titled “Jabba the Hutt.” His third pup is Edgar, one of two pugs he adopted after meeting them at Skokloster Castle while visiting Sweden.
