Who was Moses Omusolo?
Moses Omusolo was a 35-year-old talented journalist and graduate of Masinde Muliro University, class of 2013. He joined the Standard Media Group and wrote for the business section of The Standard newspaper. Those who knew him well remembered him as a kind-hearted, big-dreaming individual in all aspects of life. He had recently gotten engaged and was eagerly planning his wedding, which would have taken place early next year in February 2023.

The body of Standard Media Group journalist Moses Okiror Omusolo was discovered in a ditch along Kang’undo Road. The 35 year old had significant skull fractures and no further information has been released to answer the question on everyone’s minds What happened to Moses Omusolo death.

The Investigation into His Death
Police officers are currently investigating the death of Moses Omusolo. Although they haven’t released any more details as yet, they are still searching for clues that could help them provide answers to this tragedy. In the meantime, members of the community have come together to pay their respects to Omusulo and demand justice for his untimely death.
In October 2022, the Kenya Editors’ Guild expressed concern over the large number of journalists who had received threats, physical harm, or even death while performing their jobs. In response, ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo committed to mobilizing state institutions to support journalists and local media outlets after meeting with the Media Owners Association.
