Who was Haven Hughes?
Haven Hughes was a passionate reporter who was always eager to learn more about journalism and reporting. She loved learning new things and meeting new people. Her enthusiasm for her work was contagious; she could often be found at her desk late into the night writing stories or researching a new story angle. She also wasn’t afraid to ask questions or get advice from more experienced reporters on how to become better at her craft.
Haven had an incredible amount of potential as a journalist; she was determined to make it big in the newsroom and everyone around her could see that she had what it takes to become successful. We are devastated by this sudden loss of a young woman whose life was taken too soon, yet we are comforted knowing that she has left behind an incredible legacy as a talented reporter and kind person who touched many lives during her short time here on earth.

Haven Hughes had a bright future ahead as a newsroom journalist, but tragedy struck this week when she died in a Motorcycle Accident. She was only 22 years old. Everyone that worked with Haven was deeply saddened by the news and admired her tremendously for her enthusiasm and professionalism. Heaven will be remembered for her creativity, hard work and dedication to accuracy in the pursuit of truth. How she died may be a tragedy, yet the legacy she left behind will surely continue to inspire all those who knew her for years to come.

Who was Chris Scott?
Chris Scott was a veteran Little Rock TV news producer who served as the news producer for Fox 16 news and KARK 4 News. He first got into television by working in the sports department, and while he was successful with journalism, his true passion remained with sports. Chris had strong loyalties to Arkansas’s Razorbacks team and the St. Louis Cardinals, likely stemming from his time spent at Little Rock’s Catholic High School. His commitment extended well beyond just watching the games — it was part of who he was.

It is with heavy hearts that Fox 16 announces the passing of their beloved producer Chris Scott. His cause of death was a short illness which struck unexpectedly, leaving the entire team at Fox 16 dumbstruck. This deflation has been further compounded today by another unrelated incident which saw a 9pm producer from the same newsroom family also lose their life in difficult circumstances. The Fox 16 team send their thoughts and prayers to both families affected by this tragedy during this trying time.
