There are race car drivers, good race car drivers, great race car drivers, and then there is Bill Zardo Sr. He always had the heart, passion, and desire to do what he loved to do and no one did it quit like him. I’m going to miss his bench racing stories and his yearly visits at Daytona where he would meet up with his family and great friends and have a beer or two at the Boot Hill Saloon. Life will not be the same without him in this world but our fond memories of him will make sure he’s never forgotten. My heart goes out to the Zardo and Shepherd families. There is going to be one helluva race up in heaven with him and his good buddy Don Biederman. May he R.I.P.
