Silva’s death was initially reported by his former co-actor Dean Martin’s daughter Deana Martin who appeared alongside him in the Rat Pack caper.

“Our hearts are broken at the loss of our dear friend Henry Silva, one of the nicest, kindest, and most talented men I’ve had the pleasure of calling my friend,” Deana Martin wrote on Twitter Friday afternoon.

Henry Silva was born on September 14, 2022, in Brooklyn, NYC. He grew up in Harlem and quit schooling to attend drama classes when he was just 13. By 1955, Silva was ready to audition for the Actors Studio and got accepted.

Early in his career, Silva played a succession of villainous roles in films like The Tall T (1967), The Bravados (1958), and The Law and Jake Wade (1958). He also appeared in 1959’s adventure film Green Mansions as a forest-dwelling Venezuela native Kua-Ko.
