Who was Grandma Holla?

Davis began posting on TikTok in August 2021 when her granddaughter suggested she give it a try. Williams would often capture her grandmother’s relatable reactions and post them online which quickly caught the eye of many people. Even though she was 97 years old at the time, Davis was still full of energy and eager to share her views with others.  She became an internet sensation with millions of views on some of her most popular videos like the one when she refused to swap out her beloved Frappes for protein shakes! Her reaction was priceless and truly showed how much personality this grandma had! 

What was the cause of Grandma Holla death?

Grandma Holla recently passed away in her sleep, much to the shock and sorrow of her family. What many don’t know is the cause behind her death. She had been battling breast cancer for a long time and while she remained strong and spirited in her last videos, sadly the cancer was what finally took Grandma Holla away from us. In a YouTube live stream, her granddaughter expressed her gratefulness for all the happiness people had shared with grandma and thanked everyone for the smiles they put on hers face. What made it easier to bear was that grandma Holla passed away peacefully without being in pain or suffering further from the cancer, no longer dependent on morphine to hold onto life.

Grandma Holla quickly become an icon in many people’s eyes because she proved that age is just a number! She shattered stereotypes about what it means to be elderly by being active on social media and showing off her vibrant personality which only grew more vibrant as time went on. Despite being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, Grandma Holla never let anything bring down her positive spirit! That positive energy radiated from all of her videos which is probably why so many people were able to connect with them.
