Who Was Dale Halton?

Dale Halton was born Barksdale Fowler Dick, she was a Myers Park High School graduate in the 1950s and made a name for herself as a businesswoman who revitalized Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Charlotte and gave back millions to her community. Dale Halton’s family moved from North Carolina to Charlotte in 1945 when she was just 8 years old. After graduating from Myers Park High School, Mrs. Halton went on to attend Duke University where she earned an undergraduate degree in sociology and went on to receive her MBA from Columbia University in 1958. Mrs. Halton married Fred Wagner III in 1995 and together they continued to devote time and resources to philanthropic efforts throughout their community; this included establishing The Dale F. Halton Foundation which has given back millions of dollars since its inception in 1995.
