A gunman murdered three and wounded four in a mall in Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital. Copenhagen.
The victims include two Danish 17-year-olds, and one 47-year-old Russian. The victims include two Danes as well as two Swedes were injured – one remains in critical condition.
Police say the suspect was 22 years old and had mental health issues , and there’s no indication of a motive for terrorism.
The suspect, identified in the police report as “an ethnic Dane” by the police, will be questioned by a judge on Monday.
Premier Minister Mette Frederiksen stated that Denmark was the victim of a brutal attack.
She stated that she was trying to inspire Danes to come together and stand by one another during this challenging time.
“Our beautiful and typically secure capital was altered in a flash of lightning,” she said.
The fatal attack on a mall was carried out in the midst of Denmark honored hosting the initial 3 stages of the Tour de France for the first time.
