The initial investigation revealed a chain reaction crash involving a Nissan Frontier that became disabled in the travel lane of I-10 west near mile marker 108 due to a previous crash. A westbound GMC Yukon struck the disabled Nissan and came to rest off of the roadway to the right. The Nissan, which remained in the roadway after being struck by the GMC, was then struck by a 2019 Harley-Davidson Road Glide being driven by Carver. LSPP said that around 9:30 p.m., this collision occurred causing Bobby Ray Carver’s death.
Who was the Bobby Ray Carver?
Bobby Ray Carver was born on August 28th 1949 in Birmingham Alabama and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing for over 40 years with his family and friends. He is survived by his two sons; Jason and Joshua as well as seven grandchildren whom he adored spending time with. He had an immense love for animals especially horses and dogs which he cared for deeply until his passing. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who knew him. Tragedy has struck those close to Bobby Ray Carver following his untimely death in an automobile accident on February 3rd 2021 along Interstate 10 near Breaux Bridge and Lafayette Louisiana according to reports by Louisiana State Police (LSP). His life was cut short while trying to ride his motorcycle home from what appears to have been an accidental traffic collision caused by another vehicle becoming disabled within the same travel lane as Mr.Carvers motorcycle .
The impact caused him serious injury leading him being pronounced dead at the scene upon arrival from first responders .Though he is gone we shall never forget him , may he Rest In Peace .
