Antonio Dennard was Shot and Killed Outside a Bar in Muhlenberg

Former NFL cornerback Antonio Dennard has been shot and killed in the parking lot of Legends Bar and Restaurant in Muhlenberg Township, near Reading, Pennsylvania. The tragic murder took place early Sunday morning on October 16, 2022.

Dennard, 32, was rushed to the Reading Hospital with a private vehicle. He was shortly pronounced dead in the operating room. The news of his horrifying death was first reported by the local newspaper The Reading Eagle.

Officials have ruled his death a homicide. The police are carrying on investigative measures to find out the suspects.

The Autopsy will be performed on Tuesday, October 18th

Antonio Dennard’s body is currently kept in custody following his death after being shot outside a Reading bar. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2022, by the Berks County Medical Coroner’s Office.

“Antonio D. Dennard, a 32-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at 3:15 AM on October 16, 2022, at Reading Health Medical Center after being admitted to the Emergency Department for a gunshot wound to the torso.

“In coordination with Muhlenberg Township Police Department and Berks County Detectives, the Coroner’s Office is conducting a death investigation into the cause and manner of death.

“The shooting incident was reported to have happened at 2545 N. 5th Street Hwy at the establishment known as Legends Bar & Restaurant, around the time of the call placed to the Berks County 911 Center at 02:25 AM on October 16, 2022.”

Antonio Dennard played for Giants, Packers, and Jaguars

Born in 1990, Antonio Dennard was a former NFL player who didn’t get to play any regular matches and was only signed to the practice squads. Standing at 5 ft 11 and weighing 189lbs, Dennard played college football at Langston University in Oklahoma.

He then went undrafted in the NFL draft. However, he was later signed to the practice squads of three NFL teams- the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers, and the Jacksonville Jaguars, as a cornerback.

Dennard also played for the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League in 2015.

Who Shot Antonio Dennard and Why Was He Killed?

The police are currently investigating the case of Antonio Dennard’s murder. It’s unknown who shot the former NFL cornerback. The police are trying to figure out the suspects and haven’t progressed much thus far.
