This happened to an employee in Chile, and he vanished, likely with the money.
In May, the employee received a cheque for more than 165,398,851 Chilean pesos in appreciation for his work.
In comparison to his usual monthly paycheck of less than $545, which is less than half of Chile’s average monthly wage , according to the local newspaper, this was a substantial sum of money.
After noticing a sizable chunk of change in his bank account, the employee at Consorcio Industrial de Alimentos in Santiago, Chile, apparently reported the mistake to human resources.
The man had promised to return the money the next day, but he had not been found.
A report from Metro UK states that the man has withdrew all of his money and has not been heard from since the time of his disappearance.

According to Metro UK, the company was contacted by the man’s attorney who informed them that he had resigned from his position.
