Who is Maris Digiovanni?
Maris Digiovanni is one of the two people who have died after being stabbed by a madman armed with a kitchen knife during a rampage on the famous strip of Las Vegas on Thursday, October 6.
The 30-year-old was a resident of Las Vegas and graduated with a degree in education from Washington State University. Maris previously worked as a teacher at 9th Bridge School in Las Vegas. She was happily married to Cole Jordan.

The Las Vegas Strip stabbing resulted in Eight people being stabbed, out of which two have died and other six have suffered injuries.
According to the reports, the second deceased was identified as Las Vegas resident Brent Allan Hallett, 47, who was a citizen of Clark County.
According to the witness, Some of the victims were showgirls or street performers who posed for photographs with tourists on the Strip. “The suspect pretended to be a chef and asked to take a picture with some of the showgirls using his knife, but when they refused to do so, he began stabbing individuals,” the women said.
Who is Yoni Barrios?
Yoni Barrios is the 32-year-old accused of this stabbing. He was stopped, sprinting on a sidewalk by officers from the Metropolitan Police Department and Sands.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Barrios has been charged with two counts of murder and six counts of attempted murder.
James LaRochelle, the Deputy chief of Metro Police, said in a statement, “This was an isolated incident as all the evidence indicates that Barrios acted alone and there are no outstanding suspects till now.”

According to Captain LaRochelle, the case is a “hard to understand murder inquiry,” and police have seized a “big knife with a long blade” that is thought to have been used in the stabbing.
The first stabbing allegedly occurred without any provocation across from the Wynn casino and hotel on the eastern sidewalk of Las Vegas Boulevard. After this, the suspect fled to the south and attacked others, Captain LaRochelle said.

The statement said, “It is with great sadness that we say goodbye and see you later to my amazing little sister, Maris. She was a victim of the random stabbing of eight people in Las Vegas. Please pray for our family and her beloved husband. We appreciate the space to grieve in the coming days and know she touched your lives as she did ours.”
