Who is Doug Ramsey?

Doug Ramsey is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Beyond Meat, a plant-based meat substitute producer company based in Los Angeles running since 2009. Ramsey joined the organization in December 2001.

Prior to this, he had also worked for Tyson Foods and oversaw its poultry and McDonald’s businesses. The headquarters of Tyson is located in Springdale, Arkansas. He started his career there in 1992.

Ramsey was raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from Southern Arkansas University in Agribusiness in 1991. Since then, he had been serving in the food industry through various roles and responsibilities.

Beyond Meat is currently facing skepticism from its investors for disappointing sales, operating challenges, and perennial growth prospects. Its stock has fallen 73% this year amidst inflation worries and FED rate hikes.

The company which was previously valued at $13.4 billion three years ago is now valued at just $1.09 billion. Ramsey’s recent act won’t help it either.
