According to a close friend and colleague, Gregory Itzin, who starred in “24,” “NCIS,” and countless other massively successful television shows, has passed away.
On the television show “24,” Gregory portrayed United States President Charles Logan for six years. His performance in this role, which he shared with Kiefer Sutherland, was so outstanding that it earned him a nomination for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

The news of Gregory’s passing was announced on Twitter by the executive producer of “24,” Jon Cassar, on Friday morning. Cassar said, “He was one of the most talented actors I had the honour to work with, but more than that, he was an all-around great guy.” Gregory passed away on Wednesday. His 24 family, filled with nothing but love and respect for him, will miss him dearly.
After that, Itzin went on to land roles on “NCIS,” where he played Director Charlie for multiple seasons; “The Mentalist;” “Judging Amy;” and “Star Trek: Enterprise,” where he portrayed Admiral Black; all of these shows were after his initial success.
Even in the episodes of “Friends” centered on Phoebe’s wedding, he played a small part.
The only people who will remember Gregory are his wife, Judie, and their two children.
What was the Cause of his death?
Gregory was an incredible actor and a true professional. He brought immense talent and charisma to the role of President Charles Logan, and his performance was a key ingredient in making 24 the success it became.
