The sheriff’s department broke the tragic news of her son’s death to Sheila Fowler. “I did (receive a call) at 11 o’clock from the sheriff’s department. They told me my son was deceased,” Sheila Fowler said.
She also revealed that her son, James Leon Burch Jr., called her on Christmas Eve and said “Mama, I love you.” Sheila was struggling to fight back her tears the whole time when she was remembering her son.
